Plein air painting in quarantine

There couldn’t be a better time to paint than in quarantine. In the first wave of the pandemic, the first lockdown in March/April 2020 I painted 17 paintings. There are no distractions and there’s no better way to soothe the need to make the best of the time at home. Now, in the second wave of the pandemic, it is more difficult to paint, as winter does not come with as big of hope and sunlight as spring did. Yet the thought of having time to improve on technique, re-invent my art and the possibility to portray the remarkable beauty of Lake Como is highly inspiring.

I hope my laziness will continue to lose to my eagerness to learn and improve. And I will continue to have the right people (🙏) to tell me to move and support me.  Here are some of the views I took and my interpretation of them on canvas.
