In January 2017 I went to Havana, Cuba with my cousins. Crazy trip with all one can imagine out of a beautiful place like Cuba:) Before going there I did some research. In the photo below I am with the amazing @osymilian1 at her home in Havana. I first red about her in @condenasttraveller article on Cuba artists, then followed her work. Osy was kind to invite me to her studio and share on the art scene and her work in Cuba, an amazing experience for me. Osy is a role model for talent and work braking political and geographic limitations. Crazy how dedicated painters can inspire!
Another painter I met – the warm hearted Ligia Casabella at her family home in Trinidad. Ligia is one of the rear Cuban artists living and working in Riga, Latvia, and sharing her mind blowing family’s long line of art professionals and admirers skills and talent portrayed in her work. Long live the international language of painting!! 👍
